An Azure DevOps Extension that standardizes description and acceptance criteria with its own prompts.
ClearSpecs AI is a customized Azure DevOps Extension for Azure Boards that allows teams to write work items faster and more consistently. Instead of loose templates, copy-paste or "we will complete it later", ClearSpecs AI works directly in the work item form of User Stories, Bugs and Tasks. Developers, QA, Business Analysts, Product Owners and Team Leads can use one click to generate or improve fields such as description and acceptance criteria.
The core is a prompt library: a set of standard prompts, supplemented with organization-specific prompts that match your definition of "good". Think of prompts that you follow DOR / DOD, enforce testability, make edge cases explicit, or keep language and structure uniform. This way every team member gets the same hold, without it feeling like extra administration.
Important detail: control remains with the user. Each generation first appears in a confirmation dialog in which you can read, adjust or throw away the result before it is applied. This prevents AI text from being "blind" and keeps the content relevant for the real thing.
The result is noticeable in the daily process: backlog grooming is faster, discussions become more concrete, and transfer between roles is smoother because work items are clearer and more complete. Teams spend less time rewriting and coordinating, and more on building and testing - with documentation that remains consistent, even if several teams or stakeholders are involved.
